• Primary on-call DBA for the Executive Utilities website.
• Primary DBA for the Executive Utilities ad hoc query environment and the Executive Utilities staging environment.
• Sole DBA supporting 3 test and development servers, responsible for all DBA activities including backup, replication, data loading, monitoring and performance enhancement.
• Analyzed business intelligence requirements and existing meta-data
• Created data models, new meta-data, and all database objects including tables, views, indexes, summary tables, stored procedures, user defined functions and miscellaneous objects for transformation and loading of the data and task management.
• Created queries to fulfill business intelligence requirements and optimize performance.
• Designed, created and administered all database objects for the CFO Portal for the Executive Utilities project and for the Software Channels Revenue Attainment project.

• Analyzed a large operational data store of a major bank and determined what it would take to convert it and other data sources into a data warehouse with business intelligence and data mining capabilities. Assisted with the creation of the proposal for the same.
• Acted as the primary application representative for a mainframe disaster recovery exercise at a major bank involving over 90 people and 13 companies.
• Dramatically reduced the paper burden and FTEs for ATB Financials’ Central Services by customizing their reporting to their needs in just one month.
• Created and led a test team and customized the SEI-CMM Level 3 processes for the purpose of migrating 57 subsystems from older versions of COBOL to the newer COBOL 390. It was on budget and transparent to its users.
• Completed the technical design, coding and system testing for an application to tie mainframe data and functionality to an Internet business banking front-end via MQ Series.

• Completed the requirements determination, analysis, and technical design for a project to satisfy the special requirements of EPCOR's large Alberta Hotel and Lodging Association customer.
• Communicated with people throughout EPCOR to coordinate the effort from project start-up through to project completion for the AHLA Project.
• Coded in NATURAL and DB2 for the Prepare Load RACE project - a project to integrate UTILICORP systems into EPCOR's Utility Information System.

• Participated in the project scope determination, requirements determination, and analysis for HWBII.
• Produced the conceptual and logical data model and data mart diagrams for HWBII.
• Created all of the data related portions of the Business Discovery Report published to Alberta Health.

• As Systems Team Lead, she led a small systems team to deliver the common system components and underlying application infrastructure.
• As Production Readiness Coordinator, she ensured the safe efficient implementation of the VISTA application into CP Rail's Production Environment.
• She also had a part-time temporary role filling in as a team leader for the "Monitoring and Alerts" Team.
• Created statistical queries and later statistical reporting to assist the business people with measuring the effectiveness of the VISTA Project and to assist them with finding test data.
• Helped to program the Oracle to DB2 interfaces via a DRDA gateway in a Unix/S 390 environment. The interfaces were primarily written in Oracle’s PL/SQL. She subsequently trained her replacement in Unix, XCOM and Oracle.
• Acted as the project's resident DB2 expert.

• Created and tracked progress to numerous project-plans and scope of work documents.
• Assigned work to, and managed, a team of 4-6 senior programmer analysts.
• Coordinated our team’s work with other teams and with external organizations.

• Created a Project Plan, tracked a pre-existing and failing project, and recommended the appropriate corrective action. In this case cancellation - which was done.
• Initiated 3 new projects, creating the Business Case and Project Plan for each of them.
• Created the infrastructure for H & R Block Canada's upcoming Internet and Intranet sites.

• Planned a sub-project for COBOL to COBOLII conversion of all the CP Rail Systems being made Year 2000 compliant under CP Rail Commercial.
• Hired, taught, mentored, lead, and worked alongside the team responsible for delivering the same.
• Led research into implementing a client-server based test environment that emulated the mainframe test environment

• Gathered system requirements for Phase 3 of a mission critical order entry system.
• Helped create a Scope of Work and Business Systems Design document for the same.
• Gathered metrics and information regarding the current Technical Architecture and made recommendations for its revision.

• Designed a 3-tier Decision Support System using DB2 (database layer), EDA Table Services (business logic layer), EDA middleware and a GUI presentation layer.
• Coordinated the installation and development of the DSS (now referred to as Business Intelligence).

• Created a preliminary project outline for the access to client information for the Client Consolidation Project
• Created numerous Concurrent Development Support Tools including an inter-region compare utility and region-specific cross-reference utilities for all of our Endevor element types.
• Eliminated all of the VSAM-like 'read for updates' in CLAS's DB2 system and made radical changes to all of the CLAS system's DB2 update I/O modules.

• Created the Project Plan for the Vehicle History Database Conversion Phase II (IMS to DB2)
• Created a subsystem to download any range of years and vehicle identification numbers for both the IMS and DB2 Vehicle Databases and then do a detailed compare and semi-automated fix of any discrepancies.
• Coordinated the conversion effort and overcame numerous obstacles.
• Provided customer support to GM personnel responsible for maintaining the Vehicle History Database
• Accelerated the development of the GM Marketing Database

• Provided technical and business leadership for my Systems Engineering Team.
